Rotordynamics - Torsional & Lateral Critical Speed AnalysisModel lateral and torsional rotordynamics to provide an understanding of shaft behavior. Evaluate design against API 617 rules. Lateral studies are important if changing shaft speed or changing impeller or bearing design. Driveline lateral studies are required per API 617 if equipment is close coupled.
